As a father, guitarist, performer, music educator and lifelong student, my journey has entrusted me a unique perspective that enables me to help my students identify problems with their playing, devise a plan and guide their successful execution of achieving whatever goals they seek.

Teaching Philosophy

Instead of listing my accomplishments, I would like to share my teaching philosophy. I imagine we are happiest when we engage our passionate interests. I believe my purpose is to help people learn how to develop their musicianship skills and learn to be better musicians. My guidance is sought out because you are passionate about playing music on the guitar ukulele or bass and have a desire to be better. I promise I will give you all the tools you need for success. In return, I ask that you promise to do the work, I guarantee you will be playing better, beyond your wildest dreams. I know you might be thinking that this a bold statement. However, this has been my reality for decades.

Curriculum

Teaching individual lessons to a variety of ability-levels, ages, and genders require a curriculum philosophy that is flexible while still being effective. Resulting from my decades of teaching and performance experience, I have developed a unique curriculum that is flexible and extremely effective. I believe each student deserves a personal, customized curriculum that promotes learning and foster's their unique passion for, not only learning but the enjoyment of music. As a music teacher, I want my students to know I am always here for help, support, guidance and to answer any questions they may have. The only stupid questions are the questions that are not asked!

Experience

My teaching experience has depth and diversity which spans private instruction at local music stores, the faculty at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Additionally, I teach at my West Bridgewater studio and online lessons. Some students are looking to learn songs; others seek to hone their musicianship skills. Last but not least, I have had the privilege to guide many students to prepare for music college, high school District band and SEMSBA band.
